If you find that you are not making much money with Adsense, you more than likely have gotten discouraged. And I completely understand your position because I was once in your shoes.

But the truth of the matter, is Adsense is essential to any type of content website regardless of niche. I am going to simply break down 3 main reasons why AdSense is essential and then allow you to ponder on it.

Reason #1 – AdSense allows you to choose from a large selection of ads, as well as formats, that best fits the content on your website. With this option your advertisements can blend in better with the theme or layout of your website without being an annoyance to your visitors.

Reason #2 – AdSense’s tracking systems is one of the best. It allows you to not only track the progress of the ads on your website, but you can track ads that you place on various channels. This is great for determining which methods work best for your website and if you have multiple websites you can see which once provide the higher Click Through Rates (CTR). And what I like about this is everything is tracked in real time and you gotta love that!

Reason #3 – AdSense focuses on targeted content so the better your target is, the better your displayed ads will be. And in targeting your content that includes the use of keywords or writing content in profitable niches.

Here’s what you do – take a look at some popular websites that are in the same niche as yours and see where the webmaster is placing their ads. Now it surely wouldn’t help if you get ideas from people that don’t know what they are doing, but for the ones that you know are making good money with their website check them out.
And you may even consider asking the webmasters how they are making good money with Adsense. You would be surprised at how many will volunteer free information and help you out. I mean, the worse that they can say is no. But you will never know if they will actually help you out unless you just ask.

Also, if you create reviews for popular affiliate products then you will have better targeted ads as well. This is one of the reasons that review blogs do so well. So in this case, you can use someone else’s product to make more money with Adsense as well.

Sometimes, with Adsense you have to create your own techniques for increasing your earnings. Always remember that everybody’s techniques don’t  work for everybody. So the best thing that you can do is do a little learning of your own and formulate your own techniques that actually work.

But I have known some people to be more successful with other formats. So what you should do is a little trial and error to start out with and see what works the best. Now the best spot that I have found so far is under the titles of my posts. I mean, think about it – people look at the title of a post before they proceed to reading the article so they can’t help but notice the ads that are located in between.

4. Make Sure You Are Using Keywords in Your Titles and Articles

This will give you links that are better targeted for the content in your articles. And this will be more appealing to your readers and can increase your Click Through Rate which generates more money for you!

5. Applying Your AdSense Ads to a WordPress Blog

There is a plugin called Easy Adsense and when installed on your blog all you have to do is copy and past your codes in the plugin one time, and then after than you have full control of where to place your ads. It is a lot easier to do it this way, and it will place your ads in some of the best spots on your blog.

These are some tips that have really helped me with AdSense. I saw a $300 increase in my earnings after applying these methods so I hope it helps you.

You would not believe how many people’s accounts are being terminated because of this, but it does happen. What can you do to avoid getting cuffed?

If asked for your web site’s access logs, hand them over to Google. Now I now many of you won’t like this, but this allows Google to be able to check for suspicious activity on your website. Now if you accidentally click on your own Google ads then supplying these logs will be your support in proving that it was an honest mistake and they may be more forgiving. Google takes this type of issue very seriously so if you ever make this mistake you will want to make sure you are cooperating as much as possible. Here are some other things that you can do:

If you disable ads for your own IP address and your local area then it will prevent any accidents that may occur. This is also helpful because there is no way that Google can mistaken any clicks from others in your surrounding areas as you clicking your own ads.

If you like to use popups (they are so annoying) then make sure that you have Adsense turned off for them.

NEVER try to increase your revenue by telling friends and family to click on your ads. And let them know not to click on your ads, because they might think that they are doing you a favor by doing so – WRONG ANSWER!

Anytime that you find that you have mistakenly clicked your own ads, fess up because if Google finds out in their own round about way you will have to quickly switch to defensive and convince them that you have done nothing wrong. Honesty gives you a better chance of forgiveness, but if you withhold this info you are going to feel the wrath of Google lol. And if you have been making good money with Adsense I would hate to see you lose it.
