Now this post is inspired by something funny that my grandmother said a few days ago. I was having one of my late mornings where I was just waking up at noon. I was totally beat down from the previous night’s work dealing with product creation. Lot’s of work!

So my phone rings. It’s my grandmother. She could tell by my tone of voice that I was just waking up and proceeded to ask me why I was just getting out of bed. After explaining that I was up on the Internet working half the night she was dumbfounded.

Not because I had been up working half the night, but because she actually thought that the Internet  closed down at 9pm every night. Lmao! I thought it was a joke but she was dead serious and she got mad when I laughed at her.

Here’s the point…

The only time that the Internet shuts down is if you don’t pay your bill on time and that only affects you and not the rest of the world. People are up round the clock surfing, looking for information, and spending money even when you are bed drooling and snoring. And most of you that are new to traffic generation and making money online have not quite grasped the concept of automation.

You have to learn how to automate your processes to the point where they continue to pump out traffic and money even when you are nowhere near a computer. This is something that makes a lot of the Internet entrepreneurs rich beyond belief. And this is the key to most of the “make money while you sleep” type products.

But anyways…

The thing is my day is so busy! I run two businesses, take online classes, have to take care of and run errands for my grandparents, and the list goes on. So as you can see my time is limited at times, but the funny thing is my best ideas for my small reports happen when I am busy doing something or I am away from my computer so I turn to my Blackberry.

There is an application available for the Blackberry called Documents to Go. This is the equivalent to having Microsoft Office on your Blackberry. You can create Word document, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations as well. This has been my lifesaver for so many things.

Here’s what I do…

I use my ideas to create a small report in Word format. Always make sure that you save the document properly because I can think of numerous occasions where I have forgotten to and regretted it. Now I can create a report with my Blackberry rather fast which is normally about 30 minutes to an hour. I do this a few times throughout my day when I can’t get to my computer so by the end of the day I may have about 2-3 reports done. Then when I am able to get back to my computer I simply use my transfer cord (it comes with your Blackberry) and I hook it up to my computer to transfer the documents.

Once all of the documents are transferred to the computer then I convert them into PDF format and begin promoting or selling them. And that’s it! If you don’t have the patience to sit down and type a report with your Blackberry here are some additional tips for you:

• Use your voice recorder to the max by recording every idea that comes to mind. That way when you get to your computer you can remember your ideas and expound on them.

• Use your memo pad to write down your ideas. Sometimes you may be in a place where you need to be quiet so your memo pad is the next best thing.

Both of these methods are really good for recording your ideas while you are on the go. Back to Documents to Go – it is not a free application but it is only $49 and with the various ways that I use it to make money it is well worth it! If you want to check it out you can do so here.

Make sure that your products are affordable to the general public. By pricing your products extremely high, you are limiting your customers. If the general public cannot afford what you are selling, then you are cutting down your potential profits. Now what you can do is give them options. You can sell the first couple chapters of an ebook for a discounted price, make discounted review copies available in exchange for testimonials, etc. There are a lot of different ways that you can offer options that accommodate everybody.

Give your customers more than they expect. Don’t be lazy when creating your info products. Make sure you leave your customer feeling like they have received more than their money’s worth of information and they will come back to you to buy future products. You need to start thinking about how you can get repeat sales from your customers rather than just those one time sales.

Offer different versions of your product. You have to understand that everybody doesn’t learn the same way. So give your customers options when learning from your information. This can increase your product’s value and you can actually charge a little more for it.

Create multiple streams of income with your products. I like to create what I call “my circle of profits.” Now basically what I do is link all of my products to one another. If I write an ebook or report, I create a list of my other products at the end and provide links to those products. I will title this page something like “Recommended Products” or “Other Available Products.” Another thing I like to do is link some good affiliate products throughout my articles, reports, or ebooks.

Create products on a regular basis. Now it is very true that only one info product can continue making money years on down the line, but if you want to have consistent money coming in then you need to create a schedule for creating info products. And they don’t have to be the same kind, you can switch them up or do it how ever you want.

First of all I know that most of you are thinking “a hundred thousand a year, yeah right!” and I don’t blame you one bit. But the reason it is hard for you to believe is not because it is impossible to achieve and it is out of reach. It is hard because $100,000 is a big number that your brain can’t process as easily as smaller amounts.

So let me break it down for you…

If you want to achieve $100,000 a year then that means that you have to earn at least $278 a day. That $278 a day is not so unbelievable is it? Of course not, because I just gave you the same information in bites that you can actually chew.

And that is the point of this blog post. I am going to give you all the information that you will need in order to achieve your $100,000 a year goal in bites that you can chew, digest, and savor. So if you are a newbie then that won’t matter here because everybody will be able to benefit from the information in this post regardless of knowledge and experience.

“Creating Your Information Products”

…things you need to know before jumping the gun!

If you thought that you had to put together some big extravagant product in order to make money STOP RIGHT NOW! I hate to say it but someone lied to you if they told you that. So from this point on just forget all of the nonsense that people have been telling you or what you have been reading, if it has not produced results for you. Here’s what you really need to know…

“YOU DON’T HAVE TO MAKE HUGE PROUCTS TO EARN HUGE PROFITS”

…people like to purchase things that they can actually afford!

I am sure you have been on the Internet and see people selling products that are $97, $197, $297, etc., right? Now be honest, how many people do you know that can throw that kind of money away on the Internet? More than likely it’s not many. So what does that tell you? That tells me that the people selling these products for these prices are probably making some money, but not as much as you would think because those prices are only affordable to a selective group of people and that doesn’t include the average person.

Now think about a small report that you can sell for $10. That’s less than a household bill, less than a meal at your favorite restaurant, even cheaper than going to the movies with a friend. And these are things that people do on the regular, and if they can afford to do these things then that means they can afford to purchase your small report for $10 if they really want the information.

There is nothing worse than spending a large amount on a info product that leaves you asking more question than before you purchased it, not helping you achieve your goal, and ends up being pointless and makes you feel like a jackass for even buying it. When you feel like that life really begins to suck and you don’t want your potential customers to feel like that.

See how that works?

Now that’s not hard to understand, is it? You wouldn’t believe how many people over look this simple piece of information and then wonder why they cannot get their products to sell. And this doesn’t only work for just your information products, but your affiliate products as well. If you are promoting an affiliate product that you couldn’t afford to purchase, then you best believe that there are a lot of people that feel the same way. So make it easy on yourself and select products that people can afford to buy.

Ok let’s get back on track…

Now let’s talk about increasing the value of you information products without putting a whole lot of work into it. I had a friend that was new to creating information products and she had been talking to some crappy guru online that told her that she had to create multiple products to sell in a bundle if she wanted to make any money and it could take months to create.

That was pure crap and my friend felt like the biggest idiot on earth when the man conned her out of over $600. Now this is my problem with what the man told her…

• There is nothing in the world wrong with creating a bundle of information products to sell, but that is not the only way to make money. You can easily sell a single report, ebook, instructional video, etc. and continue to make money from it.

• It doesn’t take you a month to create any type of information product UNLESS you are doing it by choice and you are including an extensive amount of information. A small report can be done in an hour, a video can be created in 5-10 minutes, and an ebook can be created in less than 7 days, so NO you don’t have to spend that kind of time creating information products.

Even if you are a slow typist that can only peck one letter per minute, you wouldn’t have to spend months creating a single product that generates profits for you. And the thing is this is what runs people away. They think that creating information products have to take a lot of time which they don’t.

I just recently spoke about this topic on Hubpages as a way that college students can make some extra money on their spare time, but this is actually something that anyone with a little time and patience can do. In my opinion, a lot of the elderly people around my neighborhood is not getting the type of assistance that they need and I am sure there are some that are going through the same type of situation.

Now I’m not talking about doing things that you have to be certified to do such as home health care or be a registered nurse or anything like that. But you can do simple things like stop by and spend time with them for about an hour, run errands for them if they are not mobile, prepare their meals, go grocery shopping for them, etc.

If you can find time to do this then you can definitely make some extra money because the family members of these elderly people don’t mind paying someone to make their loved one’s life a little easier.

So take a look at the elderly people around your neighborhood and see what you can do for them. Not only will you make some extra pocket money, but you will also be making someone’s life a whole lot easier.
