1. Create a Unique Selling Point. The selling point of a business is what makes it stand out from the crowd and that’s why it needs to be unique. In creating your selling point you want to stress the benefits that a customer will receive from doing business with you. Talk to them about the quality of your service or product, fast turnaround time, or other things like that. It’s ok if you dramatize it a little bit; just make sure that your customer remains the focus.

2. Use Testimonials to Your Advantage. Now we all know that you think you have the best product or service out there, but that really doesn’t matter to the outside world. What matters is what other people think about it, so make sure you are collecting testimonials from people that have experienced the benefits of your products or services. Testimonials will build your credibility which is essential to your business.

3. Use Upselling Tactics. A great example of a company that uses upselling really well is McDonalds. You are sitting around waiting for the money from affiliate products to come to you, aren’t you? This is one of the biggest mistakes that newbies make. Of course you can add a link in your blog posts and post links on websites, but your not making much money doing that are you? You have to understand that affiliate marketing is a very competitive business, and while you are sitting around waiting for those affiliate commissions to come to you, your competition is stealing your prospects and their pockets are getting fat off of the commissions.

It sucks doesn’t it? Yeah, I know it does. And that’s why you have to show these lions that you know how to roar. So here are some tips for going after those commissions.

- Select products that are in a profitable niche that people are willing to buy. There is nothing worst than promoting products that people could care less about.

- Make sure that you are letting your prospects know how they can benefit from the product. A great way to do this is through article marketing, writing blog posts, product reviews, etc.

- Try your products before you promote them. Now there may be a little money spending involved in this, but it is well worth it. The only way that you can put your best foot forward in promoting affiliate products is knowing the ins and outs of how a product works.

- See what other people are saying about the products that you are promoting. Can you imagine the damage that you would experience to your sells if you are promoting a product that people have branded a scam, or a waste of tiem and money? Trust, me it wouldn’t be a good experience for you. So it does pay off to do a little research and see what people say about a product before promoting it.

- You have to learn how to master one product before going on to the next. I know you probably thought that the more products you promote the more money you will make, but that is not necessarily true. In order to be good at what you do you have to take things slow in the beginning. You have to focus your time on one product while you learn little conversion tricks along the way. Then once you get the hang of that then you can start promoting more products. Just make sure that you do this at a steady place.
