The reason that I have 2 separate formulas is because I have found that it is more profitable when you don’t include affiliate products and ppc ads on the same blog. You either do one or the other. So for maximum profits I might do 5 niche blogs with ppc ads and another 5 blogs with affiliate product promotions.

So as you can see there is a method to my madness LOL.

FORMULA # 1- Profiting From PPC Ads (you can use any ad network you want)

Step 1 – Placing ads on your front page. You have to have ads on your homepage because you are going to get a lot of blog readers that will just pass by without clicking on your post titles. And in order to catch their eyes you want to place these ads at the top of your blog, which won’t require your readers to scroll down to find them.

Step 2 – Place a section of ads after your post’s title, but before your content. The reason for this is because no matter how hard a reader may try they can’t just skip over reading ads that are placed here. Think about it – their eyes have to move from the title to the content, so their eyes are going to hit what is between. Now this may be hard to do if you don’t have WordPress blog because of how other blog services are set up. But if you do use a self-hosted WordPress blog then download the Post Layout plugin and you do this very easy.

Step 3 – Place a section of ads at the end of your posts after your content, but before your comments. Once again, a person’s eye will more than likely not be able to skip this section, especially if it is a good post that is getting comments. People love to look at all the things that are being said about content in a post and the eye can’t skip from the content to the comments without seeing the ads.

Now I can’t guarantee that this formula will work for you, but it has increase my click thru rate on every single niche blog that I use to earn with PPC advertising.

FORMULA #2 – Profiting From Affiliate Commissions

Step 1 – Select a good affiliate product that you want to promote. There are millions of ways that you can select affiliate products to promote. I would suggest using CB-Analytics in order to research good Clickbank products to promote. But keep in mind you can do it however you want.

Step 2 – Create a blog around the affiliate product. A lot of people will create a niche blog packed with information and then add an affiliate product to try to earn some affiliate commissions. For me it works the opposite way around. What I do is find an affiliate product and then create the blog around the product. This way you are leading your readers to the purchase of the main product that you are promoting.

Step 3 – Creating your blog posts. Now this is where I get a little creative. Now personally, I like to try out the products before I promote them because that is my key to increasing my commissions. From here I find tons of creative uses for the affiliate products outside of the ideas that the ideas that the product’s sales copy offers, and maximize the benefits and the features of the product.  For example, let’s say you are promoting an Article Rewriting software. More than likely the sales page for that software is just going to offer basic information on rewriting basic articles. But what if you could show your readers or customers how they can use the software to rewrite Twitter tweets, create scripts for YouTube videos, create various info products, etc?

Step #4 – Creating your incentive. Now using a squeeze page is cool when trying to capture email addresses before sending a reader to an affiliate page, but I like to create incentives instead. What I will do is take the ideas that I came up with in the last step and create a small report explaining how to use one of the techniques that I came up with. And I will create another opt in form on the front page of the blog where I have a picture of the product placed. Customers will then fill out the form to get the free report before they make their purchase.

DO NOT include any ppc ads on this type of niche blog because it will distract your readers away from  your affiliate products, and the same thing will happen if you put affiliate products on a blog where you have ppc ads.

WAALAA! There goes the money in your pocket. Now if you create like 1-2 niche blogs per week doing this your profits will shoot through the roof. But you have to make sure that all information that you are providing is high quality.

Step #3 – Linking to Your Affiliate Products

The great thing about affiliate products is you don’t have to create a website for them unless you really want to. The products normally come equip with a special link to the products website or they come with links and banners that you can use. Now it is up to you to figure out which methods will work best for you. But you will want to make sure that all of your links work properly where ever you decide to place them because if they don’t you won’t get credit for the sale and you won’t earn your commission.

Now I am sure you have heard people across the Internet talking about how they make thousands of dollars with affiliate marketing, and some actually do, but it take time and patience to reach that type of goal, and not only that but it takes a little work on your part. So if you are looking to get rich quick then this is not the option for you. But if you are looking for something that can provide a steady income for you, then affiliate marketing is a good choice.

1. Create a Unique Selling Point. The selling point of a business is what makes it stand out from the crowd and that’s why it needs to be unique. In creating your selling point you want to stress the benefits that a customer will receive from doing business with you. It’s ok if you dramatize it a little bit; just make sure that your customer remains the focus.

2. Use Testimonials to Your Advantage. Now we all know that you think you have the best product or service out there, but that really doesn’t matter to the outside world. 4. Make Your Price Seem Smaller. When a price appears to be too expensive to a customer then they will often just keep it moving. But if you break that price down into terms that they can process better, then you have a better chance of making a sale.

5. Make Your Benefits Irresistible. Believe it or not, but emotions play a big part in making sales. And you when sharing the benefits of your products or services, you have to work to evoke emotion on your customers so that they will make the purchase. For example, a woman might buy some brand new pumps because she wants to feel sexy when she goes to a party. The fact that the pumps made her feel sexy drove her to purchase those pumps. You want your customers to be able to “feel” the benefits which will drive them to the sale.

6. Attention Grabbing Headlines. Headlines are like bait to the customer. It captures their interests and lures them into reading any information after the headline. I’m sure you have taking a look at the headlines in a magazine at one time or another and made a judgment if you were going to read the article or not. Well you customers, do the same thing especially with your website. So make sure you are creating juicy attention grabbing headlines that your customers just can’t pass up. A good headline should be constructed with 12 words or less and keywords should be used as well.

7. Offer Something They Can’t Resist. An irresistible offer is very effective in getting sales. Now I am not saying that you need to cut down on your prices, but offer something that makes the customer feel like they are getting something worth more than what they are actually paying.

Whether you are running an online business or if you sell your own products online, then you should definitely consider creating your own affiliate program. It is fully capable of generating a lot of traffic for you as well as increasing your sales for products or services. So from this, I saw the perfect opportunity to teach you all how to go about creating a GOOD newsletter, promote your affiliate products, and increasing your income.

Select Your Niche First!

In my experience, it has always been essential to select a niche before you attempt to make any type of money online. That goes for affiliate marketing, article marketing, blogging, etc. In narrowing down a good niche, you have to make sure that it is something that you are genuinely interested in and it has potential in earning profits. Once you have selected your niche, then you will know what type of affiliate products you are going to be looking for.

Selecting the Right Affiliate Products to Promote

You can’t just pick any product and start promoting it. You have to do a little research of your own to find out if the product is going to be worth your time and effort. Yeah, I know the thought of research probably erks you to the core, but I promise it will save you a lot of time and frustration in the end. You need to know things like:

• Who is the product made by? You will want to check out the reputation of the products creator, because you wouldn’t want to promote a product that has turned out to be a scam. See if the creator has other products and see how successful they are.

• When was the product created? This is important because you don’t want to promote products that run the risk of having out of date information in them.

• Are there any reviews of the product online? Most products that can be bought have some type of review online. Whether it is on a review site or someone’s blog. It is important to know what people think about the product first because Internet reputation carries a lot of weight and if bad things are being said about the product; your conversions will be disappointing.

• What is the product’s conversion rate like? When you promote products from websites such as Commission Junction or ClickBank, you know up front how well a product converts. A product that converts more easily means less work on your part, which is always a good thing.

• Can your target marketing afford the product? It is important that you don’t select products that are too far out of your target market’s reach. For example , if your target market is college students then you definitely don’t want to promote a product to them that is $79 or more because they more than likely can’t afford it. So stay in a price range that your target market can afford.

Putting Together a Simple Newsletter

The great thing about creating a newsletter is that you can almost automate the whole process, which frees up your time to do other things. So basically, you want your affiliate products and your newsletter to fit together niche wise. For example, if you want to creating a newsletter that produces blogging tips, then you might want to promote products that can show your target market how to build a better blog, increase subscribers, how to keep their blog interesting, etc. Ok, you get the picture. Make the two go together seamlessly.

Now what you can do is sit down and write up a couple about 4 newsletter articles , load them into a good autoresponder such as Aweber, and then you are good to go for an entire month (if you have them go out weekly.) If you just can’t seem to come up with thoughts for a newsletter then you can grab some free PLR content from PLRWholesaler, but make sure you rewrite everything in your own words. We wouldn’t want you to be penalized for plagiarism now would we?

But Private Label Rights (PLR) content is totally safe to use if you have to. Just make sure that your newsletter is informative, the content is relevant to the interests of your target market, and it is information that they can actually use, and you will be good to go.

Through your opt-in list or newsletter you can offer quality content to your target market while also promoting relevant products that your readers more than likely would be interested in purchasing. You may also want to consider offering free products, software, resources, etc. just to encourage them a little further.

Tool #3 – Increase Your Popular Links

I know that you are probably tired of hearing about anything that has to do with driving traffic, but it is an essential necessity that you just can’t get around. And the only way that you are going to be successful with this is if you focus more your search engine ranking and have those popular links linking into your website.

You can achieve this for free by writing articles for popular article directories. Now I am not saying that you have to be a computer slave working until endless hours into the night, but simply publishing a couple of articles a week can send thousands of viewers to your website. Just make sure that you are submitting to directories that rank well within the search engines.

Remain positive through the process. With affiliate marketing you have ups and down. Sometimes you get the big commissions and then sometimes you commissions are not what you expect. Hey it happens, but you have to remain positive and learn how to create multiple streams of income so that the commission variations won’t bother you too much.
