When it comes to making money online, I don’t believe in self-pity. Because self-pity is always the culprit that has people saying that they can’t do something. I have had tons of people asking me how they can make money with articles, and then when I give them some examples they turn around and say “I can’t do it!”

That’s crap!

And I can prove it to you. If you have the capability to formulate ideas, write sentences and paragraphs that make sense, then you can write! And not only can you write, but you can write about anything that you want to. So stop putting obstacles in your own path and produce the results that you want to produce.

Now I am not saying that it won’t take time and patience on your part, but what I am saying is that you control your success. And this is not just about writing articles, but in making money online period. If you want to be the best at what you do you have to practice it just like anything else.

I just logged into my Associated Content account a few minutes ago, and to my surprise they have designed a new layout the account page and I love it! In my opinion, Associated Content needed some design changes because to me the interface wasn’t as simple and as clear as it could have been. But the design team has done a wonder job upgrading the design.

They have compile all of the necessary information that we, as publishers, need to have at our disposal, all on one page.Unlike before, you can see your estimated views in the form of a graph that better illustrates your progress. I don’t know about you but I am a very visual person and illustrations are more appealing to me than just seeing numbers. And the interface is more simplistic and much clearer to understand for the sake of newbies.

Another thing that I like about the new layout is that they have included a section that has a progress bar for your clout. Before, they just gave you a chart that told you how many page views equaled a particular clout level and then it was on you to keep track of your page views. But now, there is a status bar that tells you how close you are to the next clout level. For me that serves as motivation and helps me to continue working towards my clout levels.

With their new design, I see a lot of great additions that will make me a more productive publisher, and I think you will get that same feel. If you haven’t already checked out the new changes then you need to.

Sometimes the writing process can get the best of you. It can be boring, long and drawn out, and after a while you just lose focus. Every writer goes through this from time to time, so it’s normal. But it is nerve racking isn’t it?

If you are anything like me, your memory is about five minutes long then you are turning the station on the television, checking facebook, sending a few pointless tweets, yeah I know. But I found a free software that will definitely help you with that. It is a software called DarkRoom. It is absolutely free and it will have you writing pages and pages of content in no time at all.

I had never heard of this software until last night. It is actually a word processor where the background is solid black and the text is neon green. Now I immediately thought that it was going to hurt my eyes being that I do wear contacts, but surprisingly it didn’t. In fact I was so focused on what I was typing that I had type nearly a page and a half of content in about 20 minutes.

And even better than that I found that my thoughts ran fluidly and I was even pulling myself away from looking at the television. When you maximize your window while using DarkRoom there are absolutely no distractions, just you and what you are typing. I love it. I could really write some fast content with this free word processor.

Curiosity is sure to get your content read regardless of what type of content you choose to create. It can be articles, reports, ebooks, blog posts, etc. It doesn’t matter. Curiosity is a strong emotion that you have to learn how to tap into when trying to get people to read and buy your content. Curiosity is not something that just up and goes away, it will nag at your readers until they find out what it is to know.

Whether you know it or not you do a lot of things on a daily basis due to curiosity. For example, when you sign into your Facebook account you are curious as to know who has sent you a message and what people are talking about. When your partner says they are going to the store, what’s your response? “What are you going to the store for?” And half the time you don’t have a reason for asking other than just wanting to know.

Well you have to create that atmosphere for your readers. Making them feel like they want to know more after reading your headlines, sales copies, advertisements, etc. is going to drive more traffic you can handle. Once you perform a little research on your selected topic, then you have to create a headline. It has been said that when you are planning articles 50% of the time should be spent on putting together a good headline that is going to stand out and be noticed. There has been nothing more true and here’s the reasoning behind it…

The first thing that a reader notices when reading an article that you have written, is the headline. If you able to either write articles or have the promotion and marketing knowledge to publicize articles that others write, you can bring home an awesome check without stepping foot out of your home.

What you can do is promote products for other individuals or companies and make a nice commission over and over daily. One thing that you absolutely have to have in order to be successful with this method is to have a killer sales pitch and website content that are not only going to inform your readers of what you have to offer, but to keep them interested in the product. Once a prospects become interested in your affiliate products he will continue to come back to your website, even if he or she doesn’t buy on the first visit.

Now let’s get to the writing part…

If you are someone that has natural writing talent then you are coming into this with a plus, but if not there’s no sweat off your back. You can get around writing a lot of the content yourself by using PLR content or you could hire someone to write for you.

It’s up to you to decide which option would be best for you. Now if you go in the direction of PLR Content, don’t just get the content and just start submitting them to directories.
