1. Begin Focusing More on One Ad Format.

Research has shown that people have had more success using the square ad format rather than the other AdSense formats that are offered. But I have known some people to be more successful with other formats. So what you should do is a little trial and error to start out with and see what works the best. Once you find what works the best then stick to.

2. Creating Custom Colors to Match Your Website

It definitely pays to make sure that the color of your AdSense ads match the color scheme of your website because it blends in a lot better. Your goal should always be to make sure that the AdSense Ads look like they are apart of the website. Now I have to be honest, I have been kind of lazy with this method but I will eventually get it together.

3. Place Your Ads In Place Where Readers Focus Most of Their Attention

Now the best spot that I have found so far is under the titles of my posts. I mean, think about it – people look at the title of a post before they proceed to reading the article so they can’t help but notice the ads that are located in between.

4. Make Sure You Are Using Keywords in Your Titles and Articles

This will give you links that are better targeted for the content in your articles. And this will be more appealing to your readers and can increase your Click Through Rate which generates more money for you!

5. Applying Your AdSense Ads to a WordPress Blog

There is a plugin called Easy Adsense and when installed on your blog all you have to do is copy and past your codes in the plugin one time, and then after than you have full control of where to place your ads. It is a lot easier to do it this way, and it will place your ads in some of the best spots on your blog.

These are some tips that have really helped me with AdSense. I saw a $300 increase in my earnings after applying these methods so I hope it helps you.
