An easy way that you can increase your affiliate profits is to use product recommendations to do so. As you build your web presence, expertise, and credibility in your niche or market then people are going to begin trusting any recommendations that you offer them.  But in order to achieve this you have to have a connection with your readers and let them know the real deal about products – that means the good and the bad.

Your readers are just looking for honest information that provides what it promises. So tell them the truth about any products that you are recommending to them. Trust me, they will have more respect for you if you do that than if you sell them on some lie that will come back to bite you on the butt.

Now one thing that you don’t want to do is to promote all of your affiliate products by using recommendations. Just like with anything else, your credibility can begin to wear thin because your recommendations will seem exaggerated. So use this sparingly along with any other methods that you use for affiliate marketing.

Here are some tips for putting together your product recommendations:

  • You want to come across as an expert in your particular niche so it will help if you actually try out the product you are recommending in order to provide the best recommendations for your visitors.
  • If you successfully prove to your visitors that you are an expert and you have gained their trust, then it will be easier for them to take the plunge and try the product. Nobody listens to a person that they do not trust.
  • Don’t just tell your visitors how amazing a product is without telling them what it will do for them. Your visitors will always have the question “How will it benefit me?” and if you cannot answer that before they try the product they will just pass your recommendations by.
  • When recommending products you don’t want to sound like you are trying to sell someone on a product. You want to use your own language and your own tone to simply let them know about a product you feel that will help them in some way and just leave it at that.
  • Where is your evidence. If you cannot prove what you are saying by some hard facts or proof screenshots then nobody is going to pay attention to what it is that you are saying. Anyone can talk the talk, but they want to know if you can walk the walk.
