Although The Face of Disaster Made Its Appearance, the Show Must Go On!

Ladies and gentlemen, things have really been rough these last couple of days. It started about three days ago when I tried to export an XML file for my blog. For those of you that don’t know, an XML file is created when you want to export your blog posts to transfer to another website, or if you want to back up your blog posts. Well when I attempted to do this, it didn’t work. It was as if the export button in WordPress didn’t work. So I just left it alone.

The next day I logged into my control panel to post some new topics and all of my previous blog posts were gone. It was a little more than 500 post that had absolutely vanished. I was horrified, because things had been going so well up until then. After doing some checking around I noticed that my categories and comments were still there, so I figured it was just a server problem.

I then called up my hosting company to see what the problem was and a lady in technical support offered to help me fix the issue. After about 30 minutes the lady told me that all of the people that was hosting websites on the server lost their files as well because of a faulty server, and there was no way of recovering my blog posts without the XML file. And to make it even better she closed out by saying…

“I’m Sorry, is there anything else I can do for you?”

What!? Are you serious!? I just lost my entire blog from some error with your company, and you shrug it off by saying I’m sorry. That just does not cut it for me. I mean I have been a customer for almost 2 years now, I pay monthly like everybody else and they have no way to rectify the problem? What happened to the premium service I was promised when signing up?

Ok, I may just be speaking out of anger, but it just seems to me that they could have done more. But regardless, the show must go on! So for all of my readers out there that are being patient with me at this time, I truly appreciate you and apologize for the inconvenience. And so, it is now time that I get back to work with this damage control mission.
