A number of you at home have been giving up on trying to come up with how you can make cold hard cash with your podcasts episodes, but take it from me it is not rocket science. The secret to earning cash with your podcast episodes is selling ad space. For example, you’re listening to the radio and the radio host promote events, local news, or other information? Well guess what, the radio station is getting the big bucks for that advertising . And the customers that have purchased that airtime are recognized as sponsors.
Earning cash with your podcast happens just like that. The main difference is you are in control. You need to decide on what types of advertisements you want to accept, how much time will be offered, how you will charge your sponsors, and how your sponsors will pay. Sounds pretty good doesn’t it?
So now all you have to do is stop being lazy and get it done. Your initial task is to make a decision on how much time you will want to use for advertisement space. I would advise that you use about 1 minute at a time for advertising. Doing this all at once is not necessary. You could break the ice with ads, you could insert an advertising time frame in the middle of the podcast, or you could just delay until the conclusion. Just do what works best.
Now you will need to plan out how many sponsors you will allow to advertise. This will rely upon how much time you allow, and always make sure that you remain on schedule. Also, you need to make sure you keep your prospective sponsors in the know, on how much space is open as you will get over booked if you don’t.
From here all you need to do is talk with your sponsors and design an easy script for the advertisement. You can do this in a matter of minutes. Your script does not need to be more than 1-2 sentences for the most part. It’s time to make it happen now.
Follow the script and time slot that you have planned out and you will be just fine. Earning cash with your podcasts can bring in some good profits for you, especially if you offer your podcasts for free. And don’t forget that your sponsors are looking to get the most exposure that they can get from your podcast episodes or series, so do your best to keep your sponsors satisfied.
