Social Networking – Connecting with Your Xbox 360

That’s right! Access to your favorite social networks through your Xbox 360 is coming very soon. How cool is that? Back in August social networking applications were suppose to be apart of a software update, but the release was postponed until fall. But nonetheless, its coming! I am excited for the release and I don’t even have an Xbox 360, but I am a gamer. I guess the real reason why I am excited about this is because I love to see technology evolve. I love seeing technology improving their features and ultimately making life easier for us.

Now after reading “Hands-on: Social networking on Xbox 360″ I understand that a couple of the applications have actually been tested and are limited compared to accessing social networks from your computer. Well that can definitely be expected with any new technology that they haven’t worked all the kinks out of yet.

This article made me think in terms of where technology in our society is headed. I mean, let me be honest I am connected to the Internet 24 hours, 7 days a week. After I get up from my computer, I’m messing with the Internet on my phone. And when I don’t have my phone I am on the Internet with my PSP (yes, I’m an Internet junkie lol). I wonder if these new developments will eventually turn society into Internet junkies.
